Is there any Guide for How Ratings Correspond to Oncourt Production

I'm speaking specifically of shooting ratings Mid/3pt Open/Contested/Moving and FT% I suppose.

If I give a guy a 90 Open 3pt, what % can I expect him to hit an open 3pt shot at?

I was really hoping 2k or someone had made a guide. It could be tested on PC for simulation results, but in game % would be tedious to test (if you want a sizable sample). I don't think we can see the hardcode, but it would be really interesting if we could.

depends on the setting you have it on and the sliders.

A 90 rating is generally given to an IRL 45% shooter, and Mike Wang touched on it a few years back when discussing shot meters (if I'm not mistaken).

There are a ton of variables that enter the equation beyond that, but that's the barometer they're looking at.

Shot IQ has a pretty big impact from what I can tell.

Ft rating seems to be the percentage they shoot. Ex. 84 ft rating = 84%

Re: Is there any Guide for How Ratings Correspond to Oncourt Production

I’d love to know about the post shot ratings and how they correlate to success percentages, assuming open looks and good releases.

Haven’t found that info anywhere

Got a two-way post scorer with an 86 in fade and hook. Tryna figure out if it would be worth it to create a pure post, or a shot creating post, cause my two-way post feels really hit or miss on open hooks and fades in the rec
