Does Madden 19 work in coach mode?

I'm only interested in coach mode and I haven't purchased the Madden game, still playing NCAA 14.

By coach mode I mean I call the play and the AI does the rest. How does Madden run in coach mode? Playable like NCAA 14 or bugged?

Madden 19 does not have a true coach mode, they have auto pass for the QB
and now you have to control the highlighted defensive player or he will not move. Madden 17 was the last time you had the cpu move the entire defense

What if you just hold the defensive assist button the entire time? Not a great workaround, but if that is a workaround then it is something.

This does work..even on All Madden

Not likely..I asked last year..dev direction isn’t towards this mode..if you do decide to use this method..(which I do)..I recommend you “user” LB..as if u user a DB they seem be shoot out of a cannon on run plays..I have found that LB is best spot..just hold the LB (Xbox)

by default i used to highlight my FS, then i wondered why they were #1 tackler in the team and always hit the probowl. the boost of pressing the rb created a psychic FS who stuffed the run. this was both in m18 and m19. im afraid if i pick a LBer then he will become a god (my current LBers are 97/96 ovrs). however it might mean that despite winning DPOY and only having 70 tkls/12 tfl, 5 sacks, 4 ints, 3ff, 2 frs and 3 tds he didnt make the probowl and dropped from SS dev because he wasnt hitting 130+ tackles.

For some reason it isn’t as effect as DB’s..to be honest on run plays u don’t even have to use LB button for LB’s only on pass plays..it’s no where near as effective as DB’s
