I played every pitch in franchise until....

I calculated that it takes 5 days or 121 hours to complete one season. I love The Show and the control of playing every pitch but can’t get over the fact I spend 5 days a year playing the game. I have tried only hitting and using quick sim for pitching but then it feels like I’m missing out on half of the game. Any suggestions on how to to be “in control” of my franchise without playing every pitch?

you are almost assured of winning 54 and losing 54, it matters most what happens in the other 54 games. So just play only those games instead.

now, about how to fill the other 360 days...

Re: I played every pitch in franchise until....

I've completed two full seasons playing every pitch and working on my 3rd. So that means I've spend 10 days and 242 hours playing the Show.

Best 10 days and 242 hours of my life.

Only five days? I remember when I clocked an entire month playing COD back in the day.

I usually just sim through innings to speed things up, I'm currently in my 3rd season in franchise.

I don't think you can ever replace the feeling of control you have by playing every pitch and every at bat. I would suggest you give quick manage a try though. You can burst through entire games quickly while still having some small agency on the outcome. You can also join a game whenever you want, or turn on Quick Manage for a blowout. I never use it for my MLB team, but I use it every game for my minors, and sometimes pop in on plays to scout specific players.

I do the exact same thing with Quick Manage. I use it for all my minor league games because I want to be hands on with my organization. Ideally I'd like to play all their games (I do play the playoff games and All-Star games) but that would be too time consuming.
