I will sir! I hopped on but only for about 20 minutes. The game definitely has potential. It is SUPER early right now.

Definitely NOT an MMORPG, more along the lines of an MMO type Rust or Conan. Way more survival based.

Nice. I've been playing a lot of survival based games lately which seems where a lot of developers are heading. Is there any way to still get alpha access?

I really have no idea how long they plan on keeping the current alpha open or if/when there will be any more. I signed up a couple weeks ago.

PC Gamer had a hands on a few weeks ago. You can kind of get a feel for what type of game it is based on this. Marketed as being heavily influenced from old school MMO's, and some of the PvP concepts remind me of my favorite game ever Shadowbane (open pvp, city sieges, etc). New Worlds also appears to be influenced by the recent trend of survival games.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. There is definitely a market for the old school/hardcore MMO player who doesn't want things to come easy, but the few games that have tried to hit that market have missed by just trying to do too much.
