Patch spoilers... I call them game spoilers...

Added block damage and increased max damage dealt on a blocked catch kick punch #patchspoilers #EAUFC3

Added max stamina and body damage penalty when tripped off a catch kick #patchspoilers #EAUFC3

Been with you so far on these patches GPD but these two are insane. The body kick catch is already a problem (it’s too easy to pull off) and now you make it even more powerful. This game has literally just become a boxing game. Why even throw kicks when the downside is this severe?

See you when UFC4 drops.

I like the trip one, it actually gives it some meaning, it literally did nothing of use. I don't know about the other one though, was anyone calling for that? And even if they were, the block mitigated the damage by 50% which seems fair to me. Why change it?

The biggest problem with the kick catch is that the block doesn’t actually work for a large portion of users. (No idea why!?) so eating a punch after having you kick caught just became even more of a problem.

Yeah I've seen these complaints. I block them most of the time but sometimes, only sometimes, it doesn't really block, even though a punch is obviously coming, duh. Yeah that change doesn't make sense to me anyway.

Has anyone noticed how slow it is to block body kicks especially does ones you see coming a mile away ?

I'd love to see ragdoll but I'm afraid that ship has sailed for this game. That was the one thing I really loved about UFC 2,the unique looking KOs,never had any 2 that looked identical. Have a hard drive full of replays for UFC 2,not many for this game.

Two sides of the coin. On the realism side, complaints that catch kick is too easy. That's why we made the timing window on catch kick smaller in the last patch.

That had the knock on effect of making body kick spam at high level play too prominent, which was already a problem.

This is an attempt to address that problem without raising the frequency of catch kick which would piss off the realism folks again.
