2019 rookie development (superstar - star - quick) - can they fall?

I am trying to prepare for the end of season 1 in my league... - I have heard some horror stories of player development ratings falling - so I am preparing...

I have done a few "test leagues" and SIMMED through year 1 - but not sure what to expect there because SIM stats are different then in game stats... And from what I understand who gets development upgrades / regression is based on stats

I have yet to see rookies fall in development - HAS ANYONE SEEN A ROOKIE LOSE DEVELOPMENT RATING?

I haven't seen it for rookies and I sat Baker Mayfield for the first full year and he stayed the same. I think it's more of a veteran thing for them to lose development.

I've seen guys fall but only when it made sense. I had a star CB that didn't start his first 2 years and then had a midiocre year his first year starting and he fell.

I'd have to search for the post but EA mentioned at one point that rookies are immune to DEV loss.

I mentioned this early on after running some tests, a rookies dev seems to be immune for the first 2 seasons. After that it's affected at the end of the second season.

Players can definitely fall and rookies should be no different. The part that really bugs me though is that I had Myles Jack drop from star to quick even though he had 3 picks and 7 sacks but he only had about 50 or so tackles. We play on 6 minute quarters so there’s just no way around this. His production is judged purely on the amount of tackles he makes.
