Kickoff return/punt return

Can someone explain to me what is up with kickoff returns and punt returns? Why do the returners just jog even though I’m holding the sprint button?

It only happens on kick returns/punt returns because the sprint button works any other time. It’s frustrating.

Double Tap R2/RT. Tapping once activates one cut, tapping twice enables sprint.

I am having an issue where my punter/kick receivers pause and stutter on any speed eacept "normal."


I also cant stand that for 4+ years CPU punters cannot punt when faced with high winds (they just punt straight up in the air for like 20 yards at most).


I just gave up on kicks and punts since EA doesnt seem to care about fixing it.


My suggestion is to super-sim all kicks and punts. Its lame that I have to skip over what is a very exciting part of football, but it is the only way I have found to avoid those issues.

Yup, i play on slow, and once they catch the punt/kick, there is a delay/studder before they take off. Highly annoying, and quite frankly...dumb
