Auto-Strafe Preventing Drive?

I am a seasoned 2K vet, so this is not a “skill” issue.

Is anyone else having difficulty driving? Every time I pull on RT and try to charge the hoop, my guy auto-strafes left or right.

try changing your controller options from absolute to default (or w/e it's called).

Try making sure youre driving toward the hand that has the ball. It makes you a little quicker if you don’t need to change dribble hands.

Yea this is a thing. Is one of the reasons I feel like I'm handicapped in the name of Defense sometimes

Re: Auto-Strafe Preventing Drive?

Players do kind of strafe with the ball, I was able to get a good handle on it during the Prelude...there's a rhythm to it.

I'm a 2K vet too, but it definitely takes time to get used to the movement in this game. It's not a skill thing, just takes time to learn, especially coming from 2K18...I can't remember another 2K that moves quite like this one....

My drives have been pretty successful. Biggest thing for me is just picking your spots, watching how the defender is positioned, and taking off from there.
