Single input advanced lunge causing two lunges to come out?

I was playing ranked last night and have been using the advanced lunges to take advantage of the new patch. Problem is that I for sure only input one advanced lunge and two would often come out. I believe I narrowed it down to an exact scenario but need time to test it later.

Everytime I advance lunge without blocking and then decide I want to block mid lunge it’s like the whole lunge repeats itself. Just wondering if anyone else was having this problem. I saw Martial Mind have the same issue in his newest video also.

It’s not a controller issue either as I tried three different controllers.

Martial Mind seemed to have this happen a few times in his Tuivasa video. Almost got him in trouble too lol, he was pissed understandably.

I just tested it out and this is not the cause.

I am of the opinion that this is user error, but am open to investigating it more if someone can find a reliable way to reproduce the issue.

I'm getting it too, and I also get in when going for Thai clinch.

I can promise it is not. I have never had the problem previous to patch. I have sometime tonight. I will hunt this thing down in practice mode and report back.

This patch increased the responsiveness of lunges and allowed them to remain queued in situations where they wouldn't before.

So it's not crazy to think existing habits are exposing unintentional inputs all of a sudden.

Getting the lunge when inputting a thai clinch attempt while another lunge is already playing is a real bug though, and that is most certainly adding to the perception of double lunges off a single lunge input.

But I've seen no proof of a double lunge bug yet.
