Commentary Needs a Serious Update and Fast

I kinda like Brandon Gaudin and Charles Davis, Gaudin far more than Davis, but nope, not this year.

I hope this is one of EA's priorities with the first patch because Commentary is horrendous right now.

Primary example: Week 2 at home vs the Bears. Allen Robinson catches a 6 yard pass.

Gaudin: "There's the first catch for Robinson after a big game in the NFC championship last week. Now that's his first catch in the Superbowl."

That was Robinson's 6th catch of the game...in a week 2 matchup against the Bears...… *facepalm*

I've also had to here for the first 4 weeks of the season that it was Sam Bradford's first start as an Arizona Cardinal.

Come on now, that stuff should've been fixed in the Alpha.

Sometimes the commentary is just completely off kilter to what's actually happening on the field and I really don't think I've heard too many new phrases from either one of them.

If they're going to recycle 90% of the phrases, then at least hire other teams and have them randomized for each game. Hire Tony Romo and Jim Nantz, Joe Buck and Aikman, just something new ya cheapskates.

What i don't like about the commentary is, that the commentator rarely pronounce the names of defensive players and OL's. He only mention defensive players when they made a sack or interception. It seems, the OL is nameless for the commentator....

Also must agree to the OP. Sometimes they say things that not happened in the game.

I liked the commentary last year, and although they added some new lines, not nearly enough, IMO, the commentary logic has actually taken a big step back this year. It's pretty disappointing to be honest.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Yeah I get that "first catch of the Superbowl" a lot with Thielen. Also get one saying I have punted multiple times in the game already when it is only the second drive. Also if I bat down a pass just after QB throws it then the commentary usually say they were attempting a trick play.

I kind of ignore the commentary for the most part though so it isn't something that bothers me but it is pretty buggy.

I play with on the field audio. I haven't liked the commentary for years. They need to hire Romo asap.

Anyone heard commentary mess up and say the touchdown was wiped off the score board when TD catches are reviewed. Whenever there is a review on a touchdown catch, the refs comes back and says the call on the field was correct, the commentary is wrong, obvious mistake.

I've already witnessed this at least 3-4 times. The commentary logic is majorly screwed up.

How EA could let this slip past them is beyond me.

I'm glad someone mentioned this. Last year I thought the commentary was amazing, this year the logic is so bad it takes away from the immersion. Definitely needs to be patched
