Re: Madden NFL 19: Offensive Gameplay Breakdown
EA is finally on the right track with the gameplay and player interactions but the superman LB thing is an IMMENSE detriment to the enjoyment of the game. I play on All-Madden with slider adjustments and I've had some fun and challenging games against the CPU until these "out of nowhere" LB interceptions over the middle kill the game. It's something that MUST be fixed, and if the word can be put out to EA, the game would go a long way. LBs miss bullet passes probably like 95% of the time in the NFL if they're only 3 yards behind the LOS. They need to add a reaction animation where they "miss" the ball after it sails over their heads. There's no way a linebacker should have 5 passes defensed in one game like some all-pro cornerback. Like the article mentioned, the touch pass needs WAY more zip, or they must put way more initial trajectory on the bullet passes for routes with depth. Quarterbacks in the NFL throw bullets over the top with their throwing motion for routes with depth. Every year it seems like EA takes strides, then regresses in some key area. They never get it just right. This has been a long-standing Madden issues that fluctuated in severity over the last decade or so. Lowering the reaction time slider used to work last year, but even putting it at 0 does nothing. How has no one mentioned this to them on Twitter or elsewhere? People don't notice these things when they get early access? If they were to actually fix this, it would be best Madden to date as far as the gameplay goes. This should be at the top of the list after the running warp glitch (I've seen it happen 4 times already in the matter of 5 days/10 games) when it comes to the next patch or update.
