Amazon preorder delivery date?

For those who have preordered a game through Amazon without a guaranteed delivery date, how soon does it usually arrive?

The regular version of Madden 19 appears to NOT have a guaranteed release delivery date, yet the HOF edition, does have guaranteed delivery for August 7th. With the preorder discount, the HOF edition is just a few more bucks more than retail + tax for the regular version.

I just ordered from Amazon about a week ago and received my 20% off and an email stating release day delivery. Whatever ban was in place for Amazon has been lifted.

This was for the Hall of Fame edition.

I talked to somebody at Amazon earlier about that. They told me the standard pre-order wouldn't arrive until the following Monday with Prime 2-day. I didn't know the HOF edition had guaranteed release delivery. I might have to take another look.

Everything just says it’s released on the 10th...so I dunno. It gave me a discount for being a prime member, so I went ahead and ordered it. Even if it ships on release date, I’m fine waiting a couple days after release to save $15 or so. I don’t really play on weekends these days anyway

EDIT: Says it will be delivered on the 10th.

Note that I am a prime member though, unsure if that matters.

Wow really? I ordered PS4 as well, it still says they will notify me via e-mail when they have an updated delivery date. It just says the game is released on the 10th.

I'll update in here when I receive a delivery update, so I can let you guys know if it's the 10th or after.

Amazon must have seen my post. I got the email about 30 minutes ago lol, it looks like a release date delivery. I have prime, unsure if that matters

I am also a prime member. Still showing arriving August 21. I find it hard to believe they won’t ultimately ship on release date, though.
