Has anyone else noticed that every time Matty V announces a play involving Adrian Gonzalez or when he comes to bat he just says "Adrian?" It's so super annoying how every play is "and he throws out Adrian" or "Here comes Adrian now." What in the world is going on here that there seems to not be a like where Matty V says "Adrian Gonzalez."

I noticed this in 17 too. I don't recall for sure but I don't think we can edit his name call in the player edit.

Nope. Can't do that for SDS players. It's just a tad annoying. I didn't notice it on 17 but definitely on 18.

I just feel like I'm watching one of the Rocky movies!

He does that for some long time vets. He calls C.C. Sabathia by his first as well, C.C.

in MLB 12 he would exclusively call Andruw Jones by his first name only.

Guess I never noticed that one either. Probably because I never played with or against Andruw much.

A.J. Minter made his MLB debut last year. His official player is in the game for this year. Yet, when he is announced into the game by Matty V he's announced as Al Minter. WTF?

Yeah I've noticed that too. I would have cut him by now since he is no longer a Met but I'm hitting inexplicably well with him
