Great review. Was thinking of maybe skipping this one thinking it wouldn’t be much improved over 3 but the physics sound like a huge improvement.*

Thanks for the kind words - and yes, the physics have improved that much. I have played every damn title Milestone has put out, and MXGP Pro finally delivers on the physics front.

Just had my first race. Physics are definitely the real deal. My biggest complaint about MXGP in the past is it was too easy and I really don’t see that being a problem in pro. I crashed at least once every lap and finished dead last.

graphics wise the game is real nice looking *I have it 4K HDR on ultra settings with 120 frame rate and didn’t even see a hiccup in gameplay. I play in first person and my wife even said wow. I was worried because when I launched it by default it had 1260 x 840 and it looked absolutely horrid with jaggies everywhere *lol

not sure how I feel about the compound yet but it’s kind of a neat idea.

Nice review , this game is definitely a step in the right direction. I am loving it. I bought is for the Pro when it came out in the U.K. and bought it again for my One X yesterday. I'm a huge fan Supercross / Motocross and this game has me addicted. Can't stop playing.

Re: MXGP Pro Review: Great Gameplay But Shallow Depth

How do I go fast? I can get inside the top 30-40 hot lapping but then in race I struggle to break top 15 with AI set to easy. Does learning whips help? They seem like slow motion and even when I see someone scrub right in front of me they really don't gain ground. I am using a pretty stiff setup to limit rear wheel spinouts but haven't messed with gearing. I cannot imagine that will make all the difference but I guess I need to start experiment. What is the best course of action for hitting jumps - do I put weight forward and then pull back as I hit the jump? What about little section of dips, how do I attack those ? Weight back? forward? IDK but I am slow.

Have you applied the bike upgrades ?

Got a huge gain when I added the dunlop tires for example.

Also the training sessions give you a slight performance bump.
