Judging on UFC 3 is pretty broken

So, I'd like to start out by saying that I know I was extremely cheesy and boring, but I was only doing it for the achievement for completing the daily objectives. With that in mind, i'll continue.

This is the 15 minute fight where, if it had happened in real life, i'd of clearly won a unanimous decision (a boring unanimous decision, but still a unanimous decision). I was clearly controlling where the fight took place, he didn't land anything and done nothing to get back to his feet, any time he did reverse it on the ground i'd quickly reverse it back and I was constantly trying to advance position (not just sit in his guard for example).

I just don't see how you give any rounds to him, nevermind allow him to edge out victorious with the split decision.

Here's the screenshots of the stats;

Position doesn't score, and unpostured ground and pound barely scores because it barely does damage. You've basically done the one thing that will lose you a fight in UFC 3 but probably win you a fight in real life

Edit: http://www.abcboxing.com/wp-content/...ng_rev0816.pdf those are the current scoring criteria, always useful to have them in threads like this

Grappling doesn't get enough love in the scoring. You would think it was ******* pride rules with how prioritized damage is.

Indeed. The best way to get scoring from grappling is from near successful submission attempts, or heavy shots from Half Guard/Side Control since they deal the most damage.

I got takedowns and the thing is, he didn't do a thing for it to be scored for him either, so at the very least I would of been edging it out. He done nothing but be on his back the entire fight, I don't see what he done that you could of scored for him.

This.
I've won rounds where I've been dropped even by going ballistic on the ground.

You can't lay and pray. You have to risk your position a lot, posture up, hellbows, subs ect.

I initially thought a KD in the first 30 seconds always beat 4:30 of dominant control time but it doesn't if you are aggressive on the ground.

However that Sonnen style lay and pray postures down stuff will lose you the round. You basically need to accumulate more damage than that KD did to you.

Which subs (oddly enough) and postured strikes will do.

I was constantly trying to advance position and was landing strikes from sidecontrol postured or full mount, I just don't have any subs on UT. I genuinely don't see how you score any of it for him. What did he do to win it?

I know for a fact if that same fight happened irl, it would of been an easy unanimous decision. I don't see why the games scoring doesn't match irl scoring, isn't that the point of the entire game?

Judging is mostly scored on damage. A dev confirmed that significant strikes are irrelevant, as are many things. You can easily lose a round because they landed a head kick on you and all you did was hold them.

There are places to land damage. Unpostured strikes do count so dont neglect them but even blocked strikes count so go for some mount gnp, stacked guard or crucifix/side saddle.

You just have to make sure it counts as enough. There is a bias for strikers in this sense because its harder to land good gnp than it is to land standing strikes
