Ways to improve 2k18 MyLeague?

Hi

My friend and I are about to start a MyLeague sim and we want to make it as realistic as possible.

We'll each have 1 team we use but we'll make all major decisions for other 28 teams.

Free agency will be determined by d20 dice we use for Dungeons and Dragons (based on odds of a player joining a certain team).

My question is - How do we improve our MyLeague experience even more. Like maybe editing player's ratings based on how well they did during the season. Has anyone tried doing that? I'm afraid I'll butcher someone's career or make them OP.

Any other ideas on how to improve out 2k18 MyLeague sim are also more than welcome.

DC, what do you think would happen if we re-rated rosters after every season? Like, I'd have to imagine your initial ratings were heavily influenced from last season. So what if we basically introduced a "new roster" every season based on what happened in our previous season(s)?
