CPU won't sign 2nd round picks in MyLeague

After I do the draft, the next step is 'Rookie Signing'. But I noticed the cpu controlled teams never sign their 2nd round picks and they all become free agents right after being drafted. Is there a reason for this?

It's due to their ratings, they will usually sign someone if they're 70 or higher.

Second rounders in 2k are useless. There's no gems.

When it gets to the “Rookie signing” part of the off season, i just turn on User Control for every team in the league and sign all their rookies. Only takes a minute or two to do

You simply have to use 30-team control to make sure they sign these guys. But they'll rarely play them unless you assign minutes to them.
