Rosters not loading into franchise properly

I'm trying to start a franchise with OSFM rosters that I tweaked to have the correct current lineups for the Pirates' teams. Every time I start a franchise (and selecting reg season start) my lineups have been changed and players have been promoted/demoted. I've spot checked other teams and have seen the same differences between the loaded roster and the franchise roster.

What am I missing here? Does the game just reorder everything at the start, or am I doing something wrong?

If I recall correctly, it may have to do with setting your 40 man roster ahead of time. Try only having a 25 man roster until after spring training.

Lineups, rotations and various call-ups will always be CPU adjusted at the onset of the franchise. Any changes you want to make personally will have to come in the franchise after spring training, not at the game’s main menu.
