The new retreat stiff arm is borderline useless so far in my experience.

Take a look at how much permanent stamina you use each time you do it. It looks like it takes 1-2 percentage points for one use.

I already spoke with GPD and he made it this way to make sure it wasn't totally abused, but I think it may need a buff to make it useful in any capacity.

Go try it out and tell me how you feel.

I really dont see how this could be abused the cage is to small. I used it a couple times against a aggressive fighter and it did work but it just goes straight back so u get trapped in the cage.

Also seemed hard to strike out of but ive only used it that 1 fight so gotta try it more.

When you do need it your usually getting overwhelmed so its hard to use?

I doubt he’s getting overwhelmed. He’s a top player from what I understand.

The magnetic striking after the initial step is the issue.

Martial Mind has spoken about it so hopefully it’s addressed as well.

Basically I've been using it as a retreat immediately after I fire a combo. That way they can't hit me or my block when they're ready to counterattack.

But even hitting the triggers for a split second automatically drains that bit of your permanent stamina. It's so cool and useful too. It's a shame there is literally no reason to put yourself at that big of a stamina disadvantage just so you'll make them miss a couple strikes.

Do you think it’d be fair if it caused evasion stamina tax instead of just whiffing?

Or do you think it should take less perm stamina?

I haven't downloaded it yet..but I'm thinking, it might be useful to use agaisnt a headkick do it once or twice the whiff off the headkick should be > then the retreat?

It should take way less permanent stamina. I'm fine with the whiff tax on the guy punching being standard. Just allow body punches, and kicks to hit the guy retreating and take permanent stamina away (entirely in my opinion).

I'm not a realism guy but I would assume if anyone is truly in the realism camp they'd be furious that this move costs so much stamina when it costs almost none in real life.
