Can the instant Thai clinch be removed?

All it is is an instant 50/50 dice roll for a rock without punishment for initiation.

It's insanely easy to deny, like really really insanely easy. If you are in it, you can eventually get good enough to hold RT to block the head and be quick enough to react and put down LT when you see the knee start up.

Because distance and footwork are the primary means of defense for strikers, you shouldn't be in the pocket to have to worry about the grapple attempts. You should be just outside of it to dip in for strikes and dip out to avoid it. The clinch and take downs are not a threat at the right distance. It's easy to deny both if you're keeping your wits about you. It's designed well.

The clinch and takedowns are not a threat at any distance if you are not in a coma.

You seriously have to lack fingers to not be able to deny this.

Re: Can the instant Thai clinch be removed?

I don't support removal of the Thai Clinch entry at all, however....

I do think it would be cool if you could get an automatic Thai Clinch entry if attempted while an opponent is rocked. Also if you land a knee in this state it should AT LEAST knock the opponent down. Currently I think it can only rock people.

Is it possible to KO someone from a Thai Clinch knee in this game?

Why not just make it so its very very easy to move out, and that landing an elbow or knee is about timing.
