Player Lock/RTTS Fielding Game Play


Issue

Player Lock and RTTS fielders are not involved in plays. Your selected position fielder is often over looked on key plays as if he does not exist on the field! Present since MLB 15, MLB 16, MLB 17 and MLB 18. Also the game tends to lock your selected fielder in these situations.

In this case my player locked fielder is by passed as if he does not exist on the field as a cut off man! You can see the result play ends with the CPU runner crossing the plate

Bunts work as intended/designed. Bunts were changed to stop online cheating who exploited hits by bunting. Which kills it for us real players that want to be able to correctly bunt.

Are you saying that when I bunt and it shoots all the way to the 1st basemen or 3rd basemen. It's stuck that way for those of us who play offline?

The tagging is a problem. I'd rather have the randomness to it in years past. This year every player makes perfect tags, every single time. It's going to get REALLY old. It needs to be tuned badly but I doubt we see any changes because it doesn't seem like a thing that can really be tuned with the engine. I've said it for years, players need a tagging attribute or at the very least their ability to tag could be tied to their fielding rating. Some players should be better at tagging (Javier Baez) than others. Some tags should miss, some tags should be high on the hip allowing the foot to get to the base first.

Yes and no. You now have to be way more selective on your bunts. Have to have a good to decent bunter. Try to wait on a low on the zone off speed pitch will give you better success. I also, use directional hitting so I put the LS low to the left or right (5 o'clock or 7 o'clock position) helps also.

I don’t see the tagging as an issue. I had the ball beat a runner to second yesterday and the runner scored.

Also please please please don’t mess with hitting like u did last year. It’s so good right now. Please don’t touch it.
