PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread

What settings have you tried and what have your experiences been so far?

If possible, mention your TV brand and model number. That way we can discuss advanced TV settings in order to get the most out of this amazing product.

65" Sony Z9D. It's amazing for HDR experience. I use "Balanced" setting in the game (called "Enhanced" last year).

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread

Samsung ks8000, 55inch.

Picture setting:
Game mode on.

Game settings:
Hdr on
Sharper/4k

Looks amazing to me.
Have barely noticed any chop.
The only chop/frame rate dip ive noticed is when innings change sametimes at cut scenes which isnt that big of a deal to me.
No chop in pitching and batting where it matters.

Make sure if you are using a samsung tv to update to the latest firmware update for your tv

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread

Just got a 4K tv and ps pro after playing on a monitor the last couple years. Still messing with settings but have been playing in 1080p mode so far. Might have to try a 4K game and report back.

Lg UG7700 55 inch. Thought I was going to regret not going 65 but 55 seems huge enough in my loft.

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread

I have an LG 49UH6300. I'm using the balanced setting.

HDR for some reason having HDR on doesn't look good compared to off. I only got to play with it a bit last night, and haven't had a chance to play yet today. But having HDR off actually looks better on my TV this year, which is odd because it looked much better with HDR on last year.

Re: PS4 Pro 4K Video Thread

To me hdr looks more life like. Yes it doesnt pop as much but ive been changing stadiums and teams each game just to see differences in colors and everything and for example i just played a night game at redsox stadium and with hdr off the pitcher mound is like a dessert sand orange and with it off it is a more natural lighter tan and looks more realistic. I know everyone has their own preferences but from my expereience hdr in games and movies makes your screen not pop as much but gives everything a more realistic look and wide color range which i prefer. You can really tell the differences in some 4k movies if you have a 4k player or even 4k stuff on youtube and switch between hdr. When i first got my tv i would watch 4k sony and lg demos for hours an be amazed by the difference not only 4k but hdr makes on colors and darks.
