What exactly drains the stamina ????

As far as i know , missing stirkes drain stamina ... getting knocked down drains stamina ... now check this out :

both his legs are completely messed up, still, look at how naturaly and fluid he moves ... you can hear 3 cracks in that completely destroyed leg, he gets up, no problem, continues to move fluently .... please explain

From here, i draw the following conclusions : body shots affect stamina much more than anything , and thus are way too powerfull

They reduced stamina tax on whiffed strikes and hitting someone's block doesn't affect it much. I think it may be glitched too. Couple of times I've fought Werdum and he's throwing all kinds of strikes, missing and in the 3rd round still has almost full stamina (like 90%). While im picking my shots and have about 60%.

Everybody keeps crying for more stamina drain so i wouldnt expect this to get any better... i dont have a solution that would make everybody happy but the game keeps getting dramatically changed stamina wise and now i rarely have fights make it out of the 1st rnd... i dont think ive went to a decision since the first patch was released and i have close to 900 fights... less than 50 decisions wins and losses combined.... all because fighters are dead tired after 2 rounds..... granted that has alot to do with the arcade style that comes with online competitive play where noone fights sim, but still... i had wayyy more decisions pre 1st and 2nd patch...

My experience has been nothing like yours. It sounds like you are still just spamming sway hooks and uppercuts TBH, which will either gas you out if your opponent is good, or get you a quick win if your opponent is bad.

I would say more than 50% of my fights go to decision. But I try to fight tactically and manage my stamina.

You can assume all you want but i use range and never walk people down and pressure them unless they are rocked... most of my losses are to the in your face sway and pray guys which were only made stronger by the patches because of the ability to kill stamina with rocks and kds....

In the newest patch they REDUCED stamina drain for whiffed strikes, and they nerfed the counter vulnerability (and plan to nerf it further). So expect spam and pressure fighting to get way worse.

The stamina penalty for wiffed strikes was not changed.
