Alexander Volkov!

Volkov needs some serious buffing in the grappling department. Escaped numerous positions with Werdum on both top and bottom. Generally was a step ahead in that department throughout the fight and that's saying something considering Werdum is world-class on the mats.

He also escaped numerous subs before ultimately knocking out Werdum. Displayed great takedown defense, clinch grappling and submission defense.

Werdum needs completely reworked in the striking department - his striking again looked slow (not sure who thought he was fast to begin with). His chin gave out again. His Jiu-Jitsu was fantastic, but Volkov was just a step ahead defensively.

Re: Alexander Volkov!

Werdum is just too old.

He is slow in every area.

The problem is they have pre USADA Werdum in the game still. But yh defnitely agree Volkov could have better grappling. He's better than I thought on the ground.

You are just happy werdum's decline is happening. But he deserves a buff absolutely

No - I just feel that both of these fighters are completely mis-rated is all.

I wish people would stop with this pre/post USADA stuff. There's only a couple of fighters who you could legitimately attribute their decline to no TRT or whatever, the rest just dropped off around the same time cause they were old.

*Note: Idk if WarMMA was using it as a general timeline thing or implying that Werdum is in the same/similar boat as Belfort, I honestly just wanted to say my piece lmao.

Werdum is currently very overrated on the game in regards to his striking. He's never been a fast striker by any stretch.

That's in regards to his hand speed and movement.
