Is this grappling system the best for MMA?

Don't get me wrong, i mostly very much enjoy the grappling system and the ability for two people to transition at the same time is paramount. However i feel this system right now fits much more into a jiu jitsu simulator. The biggest aspect neglected is wrestling. Whether its clinching takedowns or posturing/ground and pound, this system doesn't feel like it molds everything together and that's what MMA grappling relies on, fluidity between styles and movements.
While Undisputed 3 had great wrestling, it at times still felt arcadey, especially with nonstop reversal after reversal after transition like you were machines.
I do feel if we were to add a fluid clinch, one with momentum (you push hard into me, i judo throw you) wrestling takedown struggles, and a better posturing/ground and pound system, then it would be A+. what are your guys thoughts?

UD3s system honestly should have been taken and improved upon. Current system is terrible. An insult to grappling.

I think denials and transitions need to be less binary. If you’ve ever grappled IRL you know that going from half guard to side control can be quite difficult if they have your leg trapped in a tight triangle

You won't find too many people here that like it anymore. We were hoping there were some mild changes to it for the better, but nothing...

It was praised pretty heavily though in the last game early on, and I think the devs figured they could hold off on it, but that's not the case anymore apparently. I was always on the fence about it, but U3's was more ideal to me. I just hated how easy it was to sweep and reverse, but that's honestly been every MMA game for really.

momentum transitions, two people able to transition at the same time, and timed reversals make it a pretty good system. Undisputed might be more fun at times but it gets a bit ridiculous and over powered in particular situations

Undisputed 3's grappling system STILL remain undefeated. The most immersive grappling system. I know the EA devs read this same type of comment all the time.

Re: Is this grappling system the best for MMA?

For this game i think the fixes will have to be very small to work as patches.

I would make movement while in clinch a LOT faster.
And give the opponent against the cage some sort of stamina and attack penalty. Incentivising people to engage a clinch. Also the control seem yanky: R1 DOWN to clinch right, and R1 RIGHT to take someone down? not very intuative.

KD people should be open to be jumped upon at any time. Add animations that merges KD opponents into various grappling sub positions. I knock you down and jump on you, we end in half guard or turtle or something.

Strikes to the body on the ground need to be impactful. The weird stamina issue where the dom position seem to be the most taxing need to be resolved. I lie on you in half guard, rabbit punch you, move into side control, rabbit punch you, And somehow if I haven't denied your transisions I'll be gassed out by the time the round is over, and you'll be just fine.

For a next GAME the ground game needs heavy rework, I know people on this forum are more advanced, but as I've previously said on this forum, I've played UFC 2 with 32 friends. Casuals, BJJ practitioners, MMA practitioners, gamers, and a few who had the game before playing with me. NONE of them EVER defended transitions, only 3 could get the hang of submissions (none of them ever actually bothered to use it after learning how it worked). A few got good at GnP though.

32 damn people! Never saw ONE transition defended!

Biggest problem i have heard about the ground gaming besides having to fiill up a bar is that most transitions and sub attempts all look exactly the same. The pattern recognition is so tiny its annoying.
