Sound effects in LHW & HW division

Whats up with the horrible sound effects in the LHW and HW division? Are they intentional or is it a bug? I barely play in those divisions because the sound effects are so off putting and weird. Have they been acknowledged by the devs?

Haha, it's very weird. It doesn't sound like striking sounds. Not sure what's up with it. Doesn't bother me, but is incredibly noticeable. Friends have walked by when I'm playing heavyweight and asked about the strange noises.

This is very true. I have thought this since day one and seen a few threads on the issue but no official response.

It sounds like a car door shutting to me idk.

I don't know whose bright idea it was, but those sounds are terrible... Utterly terrible.
