Strike Variety?

So there was supposed to more variety of jabs and straights.

So far it seems the Diaz strikes have been repackaged as looping straight and snap jab; so that is the variety of jabs and straights.

There was a Haymayker and superman elbow that were also added. Who are they assigned to? I only know Nog has a Haymarker.

We definitely got more variety and fighter uniqueness in general, but fighters like Aldo shouldn't have the same leg kicks as Ngannou, and neither should Ngannou have the same uppercuts as Aldo etc.

Ufc 3 is 3 steps forward 2 steps back in some areas compared to ufc 2.

But overall still an improvement.

Re: Strike Variety?

I was wondering this myself recently.

I'm sure GPD said there were 10 unique jab&straights, I don't know if he meant 5 of each or 10 each.

But so far I've found..
Diaz 1-2
Mcgregors Left Straight.
Bruce Lees Backfist.
Stephen Thompsons unique blitz 1-2
Dom Cruz's 1-2.

So that's 8.. What am I missing??

Stipe has a 1-2 that looks pretty unique or may be the Thompson blitz slightly reskinned (which is fine by me) and GSPs jab feels a lot snappier than most others, but I don't know if that's cause they both have high level 1-2's or if they're unique.

I like the way the 1-2's feel across different fighters, with various mixups of the 3 different 1's and 2's (Doms/Wonderboys seem to be completely unique or posture based)

I definitely hope all the other basic strikes/kicks get 2-5 variations down the line, that would really make everyone feel unique.

The kicks are the big one for me, even if its low level on the movelist, Derek Lewis, Hendo, hell, Half the HW roster shouldn't be throwing kicks that look like Edsons.

There are 8 different styles of jabs and 8 different styles of straights.

Some are based on posture, and some are based on move levels.
