Things commentators say that don't make sense....

So I went against the Thunder & the commentators talked about Andre Roberson stats.

In MyLeague, Roberson has around 4 ppg and 4 rpg. The next thing uttered by the commentators simply does not make any sense; they say Roberson is valuable to any team because he is a consistent "shooter".

I mean, WTF? Everyone knows how bad of a shooter he is and he is valuable because of his defense.

There are many things said by the commentators in game that really dont make sense but the Roberson one is like the funniest to me.

Anyway, I wish in the future we can choose the commentator team before the game starts. I like C-Webb but I cannot stand Doris.

When they talk in game about KD's height, and how he's really 7ft (including his backstory of being 6'9), but 2k won't acknowledge or fix his in-game height and leave him at 6'9 every year.

NBA.com has him listed at 6'9. Wikipedia has him listed at 6'9. Where are you getting 7'0 from?
Sounds like you're just bashing 2K over something when you haven't got a source. And, this has nothing to do with the original post.

KD himself has said he’s 6’11 without shoes and that he used 6’9 originally because he thought it would be the perfect height for a SF. The commentary team even reference this and how it all came about.

Durant says he enjoys “messing with people” when it comes to his height.

Per CSN Bay Area:

Speaking to Bob Fitzgerald on KNBR, Durant put fact over fiction when answering the age-old question of how tall he really is. “Since I love you guys so much, I was recorded at 6’10” and three-quarters with no shoes, so with my shoes on I’m 7-feet,” Durant finally revealed.

So, why has Durant been listed at 6-foot-9 for so long?

“I just like messin’ with people. They just ask me so much… yeah, I just like messin’ with people.”

I remember I read an interview where KD said he is now 6'11 without shoes. So yeah, I updated him to 7'0 in 2K. Ben Simmons has also grown a full inch since his rookie year.

If you want more proof about KD's real height, try look for a photo of him and Kevin Love stand side to side. It is very clear Love is a couple of inch shorter than KD.

Thank you, I didn't know that, but 2K goes after what they are officially listed at not anything else so it's completely fair that he's 6'9 in the game.

Get's me thinking though; is he just listed as 6'9 in the game too but is actually taller when you compare him to players? 2K are known for little details like that.

I've raised this issue with 2k yearly since 2015. He isn't 7ft in game, but listed as 6'9. Ronnie said just after release on one of his casts (because a few people have raised the KD issue) that they go by listings unless there is evidence/the player himself has spoken about his true height. So I forwarded all the correct information on (again), and he's still 6'9.

My theory is that making players taller can actually increase their OVR rating, so in order to keep KD's attributes where they should be, and still keep his ovr lower than LBJ's, they keep his height where they've always had it.
