Re: How do u shoot FTs?

Yes, you should see a vertical meter next to the shooter. Hit the green release at the top of the bar for a guaranteed make. If you're not seeing the meter, you could use the 2K method of following each individual player's release. But the meter should be there by default.

FWIW, I usually use the face button for FTs and the right analog stick for all other shots. Not sure why, guess it just feels more natural.

Yeah, face button is more responsive than the stick. Just aim for the green bar up top. You press once and press again near the top. Same goes for regular shooting/3 pointers.

Yeah, hold the shoot button and release when it hits the top of the meter.

Also I was wondering if there was an easy way of shooting whether mid range or 3's I seem to miss a lot. I even tried putting the sliders all the way up still would miss.

If your player has a good three point, you can hit them near the green, but most likely the most successful is at green.

I use icon passing and drive through the lane. If I see the lane open and I drive through, i'll just hoop it up, but if there's a player playing zone and my teammate is wide open or has some space from the 3 point line, i'll pass to him and hit that 3.

Re: How do u shoot FTs?

Surprised some of you guys still use the shot meter.

All you have to do is hold the face button until the player is about to have the ball up over his head. Sometimes right when I hold the button I say "1", then I release it. It goes in about 90 percent of the time.

I see more success using the ESPN camera. I noticed on ESPN Broadcast that sometimes there will be some hitches on shots that will make you miss.

You will need to create a little space with dribbling, quick passing or mismatches, to get your opponent off balance, or in a bad defensive position to increase your jump shot success chance.

The space required for each shooter is a little different, depending on the shooting skills of the shooter and the user release timing. When shooting make sure your feet are set and you are in "rhythm" with the catch and gather. It should help your mid range and 3 point percentage some.

...Free throws seem to require a slightly earlier timed release, as someone mentioned earlier, right as your shooter raises the ball above and just before the ball starts towards the rim, player FT ability factoring in also.
