Bad Contracts

I have MLB16 and wanted to know if making a trade in MLB17 or the upcoming MLB18 if you can absorb a portion of a players contract in order to move them to another team? Since this seems like a recurring issue in today's baseball world I was wondering if this has been incorporated into the game. Anybody know this?

You can't do that in MLB The Show 17. We don't know about 18 yet.

Something that desperately needs to be invoked into the trade logic. They are missing a huge portion of reality in the trade/team building logic.

Trading badly needs to be revamped. Very unrealistic but so are the current contracts and payroll.

Limiting trades to a max of 3 players on either/both sides is quite annoying too.

Agreed. Really wish they would open this up.

But I have a feeling its due to the limited 90 player rosters.

Of course I'd like to see 3 team trades and the ability to send cash or international bonus pool money.
