Decided to test the judges in the beta

Thought I’d see if the judges have improved from the past games. As far as I remember, they were pretty terrible.
I set the difficulty on easy so that I could score a lot of knockdowns in a round.
After 3 rounds I won 30-25. Pretty impressed tbh and was expecting to see 30-27s.

Sorry if this is a boring post lol but just wanted to let you guys know what I was looking at testing during the beta

I wonder if draws are in the game now, gonna make both fighters sit there the whole fight and see what happens.

Draws were in UFC 2, they we're just a lot more rare then you would like to see.

No they weren't. If there was supposed to be a draw it would give someone a point so someone won.

You could get the same score in UFC 1, nothing changed there. You lose a point for each knockdown

Judging is totally wonked out.

It seems it places priority on how many rocks a person gets rather than total strikes and damage. It also doesn't judge round by round as you might think from the display.

I've only been screwed twice but in both those matches I was handily winning the first two rounds and in the last one I would play around to test the new mechanics and get rocked many times. I checked the damage and total strikes landed, etc. and I was massively ahead (we're talking over double the strikes landed than my opponent). Still I would lose 29 - 28.

If we're aiming for realism, total damage should be prioritized and even if I get whooped in Round 5, if I've won all 4 other rounds, I should win. This isn't Pride.

MMA judging has changed. 10-8 rounds are handed way more frequently. If you're doing nothing and getting rocked multiple times in the third youre probably getting 10-8'd and the game doesn't do draws. So there ya go.
