ways to combat freezing your kicker by the CPU?

Is there a way how to combat/counter when the CPU freezes your kicker with calling a time out before the kick at the end of the game? I hope calling my own timeout will do that but my kicker was still in "frozen" mode upon returning onto the field. I love the game overall but this is really annoying.

Or at least please share how do you kick in those situations? How/where do you aim and how do you deal with the kick meter disappearing from the screen once setting the kick power?

Thanks!

For me, I had to visualize where the meter was. It takes practice, but I’m pretty much money when the CPU tries to ice me.

Good for you. I am like 1 for 4 in those situations, and 3 od those kicks were from inside the 30. Not to say practice in existing CFM means at least a couple of lost games until you master it (if ever).

Re: ways to combat freezing your kicker by the CPU?

I can confirm there is no way to "de-ice" your kicker once he has been iced (believe me I tried everything).

If anyone knows how... is there a way to ice the CPU kicker? In one game with less than a minute to go the CPU kicker had a chance to kick from the 40 and I had 2 time-outs left... I kept trying to hit the time-out button (pad on PS4 controller) and I also tried pausing just before they snapped but the time-out button was grayed out. The CPU kicker was able to kick without me icing them...

Is it not possible to ice a CPU kicker?

No you should be able to ICE the kicker. I think you just ran into a glitch or something along those lines.

OK, maybe I didnt time it right or something.

So when exactly do you call the time out? I'm supposed to pick a defend FG play and then call the time-out just before the CPU team snaps the ball... right?

Do you pause and go into the menu to use a time out? Or would you recommned hitting the touch pad (PS4) just before they snap?

I just hit the touch pad to call the time out. I think you should be able to call the timeout before picking the play call too.
