Thinking of Re-buying Show 17 for DD

I played through July but got tired of Diamond Dynasty--didn't like that the only way you could score was through home runs and was frustrated with zone hitting leading to random results (reticle and good timing leading to consistently poor results).

I'm a huge baseball fan and the playoffs gave me baseball fever again. Is it worth re-buying the Show? Have things changed at all with subsequent patches? I'm guessing by now all DD are loaded, so would I be too far behind to even be competitive?

Just looking for everyone's insight before I make an impulse buy.

its gonna be $15 bucks for black friday. im thinking about the same thing as well.

I've been playing a lot recently, like close to 150 games over the last month, but mostly have been playing Battle Royale or the Events. I just don't have a lot of time for Seasons. I've also been trying to complete the missions for the diamonds.

The game has been playing much better IMO and while there are still server drops they are sporadic. I find the frustrating parts to be when opponents are running the bases and they try to force tag glitches or one too many throws, but I use throw cancelling which helps combat those attempts.

If your concern is not competing I would say Battle Royale is a nice way to earn cards and also use good players.
