There's nothing like the start of a new NBA Season and for the Philadelphia 76ers it was a great opening night. The future looks bright with Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons standing at the forefront. Embiid showing more of what he did last season, while Ben Simmons debuted one rebound shy of a triple-double. 2017's 1st Pick Markelle Fultz looked great as well putting up 15 points with 5 assist. Philly's got something to look forward to this season, The Wizards are arguably a top 3 team in the East and while it's still to early to tell, Philly picked up a 13 point lead to defeat John Wall and the Washington Wizards.

The Philadelphia 76ers hosted their home opener against their rival the Boston Celtics. Philly trailed behind throughout the game but managed to take a lead early in the 4th quarter, only to have Kyire and Player of the Game Gordon Hayward go on a scoring run that would give them back the lead. Ben Simmons racked up his 1st career triple-double in his second game as a pro. Simmons would also commit 7 turnovers, including a couple late game turnovers that seem to turn the game over in favor of the Boston Celtics.

Kyle Lowry would hit a three to tie the game at 83 a piece and send it into overtime. In Overtime Toronto would pull away with an 8 point victory thanks to Derozan, Miles, and Lowry combining for 73 points.
