The Walking Dead (Season 8)

After a disappointing Season Seven, can this show get back on track with the "All Out War" storyline?

Didn't even realize this was tonight. I'm interested to see how this season goes.

Really liked the premiere except for one WTF moment

Spoiler

That's the kind of stuff that has driven me nuts about this series over the years. Makes no sense.

Agreed. That was a head scratcher. Anytime anyone talks in any show or movie, the other party is supposed to just sit there and listen, unless it's the first Kingsman movie.

Heres a question. When Carl was walking, looking for gas, and heard the dude talking, and he laid down to look under the car, was that whole scene a replay of the very first episode when Rick was looking for gas, and eventually saw the little girl (who was a zombie)? Seemed like a little flashback type of thing.

Also, in the first episode of season 1, the little girl stops to pick up her bear, even though she's a zombie, and starts to fast walk/run towards Rick. Why then do all other zombies in the show, walk/lurch?

I was willing to let go of Gabriel being stupid by trying to save that Gregory guy. Getting into that trailer, hearing Negan, and deciding not to just shoot him then and there? Give me a ****ing break.

If you want plausible situations wherein the bad guy doesn't just die, this sure as hell isn't the way to do it. Might as well have Negan wear armor that has "We're only 1 episode into the new season!" plastered all over it.

Re: The Walking Dead (Season 8)

We're talking about a show with zombies, a guy with a pet tiger (who knows which people to attack and not attack) and a group of trash people who developed some sort of weird speech pattern for reasons, etc.?

I think all logic is thrown out the window at this point. Just stop over analyzing and instead turn your brain off enjoy the ride. You will have a much more enjoyable experience that way.

They used to be smarter as well in S1 climb fences, turn door knobs to get in a house, use rocks to break glass windows and the little girl you pointed out. Not sure why the change.

Assuming because different show runners/writers

I enjoy the show, but lazy writing is lazy writing.
