Franchise Mode Kicking Sliders and the CPU?

Is it my imagination, or does modifying kicking sliders in Franchise mode only affect the player?

I ask, because I have increased the Kickoff power slider to 60 to allow accurate Kickoff distances (i.e. to the back of the end zone), but I see the AI still kicking most of their kicks short of the end zone, or in the front third.

Same problem. Upping the kickoff power doesn't seem to help the CPU much. I've put it back down to 50 so that not all of my kicks end up over the end line.
