Re: Squash Match Rate in Sliders?

Still not sure what this does. There aren't any flags on the wrestlers to say if they are "jobbers" or not. So how does this slider work? Anyone know?

UPDATE:

Found this on IGN
"Seems this year they have added a "Squash Match" Option. If a superstar of a high overall is going up against a superstar with a lower overall, the higher overall superstar will be given a finisher and a green plus while the lower overall superstar will have a yellow minus. This will allow the higher overall superstar to deal more damage while taking considerably less damage throughout the match. "

Re: Squash Match Rate in Sliders?

A tip shows up when you start a match that could qualify as a squash. I got it with Braun (88) vs Enzo (74). You get a huge momentum boost. A running attack gives around 54% I think. But you have to build up a finisher before being knocked down. Roughly 2 running attacks or grapples and a signature right away.

I'm not sure if weight class difference has anything to do with it. The squash option didn't show up when I tried Batista (92) vs Sawyer Fulton (69). I'll have to test more.

Looks like it is similar to the NHL series attribute effect slider. Supposed to create more separation.

Can you set this per match in the universe mode?

Re: Squash Match Rate in Sliders?

I'm not sure the squash match works as intended or maybe it's more random. I'm using Hyperballer's attribute re-rates. I had a Strowman vs Bo Dallas match. I was Braun. Definitely did not feel like a squash match, and the "plus" sign never appeared in my characters HUD display. From what I read about squash match, is this is supposed to happen and is based off STR, Weight, and OVR rating.

The difference between the two wrestlers is huge and yet it never happened. Now, it DID happen when it was a AI vs AI match. Braun won that in under 3 mins. However, next match took him close to 10 mins to beat Bo Dallas.
