Where Is The Impressions Thread?

I'm sorry if I'm missing something but now that the game is released shouldn't there be an impressions thread?

Re: Where Is The Impressions Thread?

I'm playing default sliders pro with 15 minute halves. 33 shots taken by the CPU with like 8-10 on target and most from outside the box and not much quality.

Re: Where Is The Impressions Thread?

My initial reaction is this game plays a little bit too much like last year. The demo felt more open in terms of freedom on offense instead of constantly trying to shield the ball away from defenders. Oh well, it's just how fifa plays now I guess. The daily and weekly objectives is a nice touch for FUT it's a nice way to get a little extra reward. The squad battles are fun but seem to be random in difficulty, some matches it feels like you can't win even if you put it at lower difficulty while others at high difficulty can seem easy, it's really strange.

I still don't quite understand the squad building challenges, like I have to spend coins to built a team in a specific way just so I can trade in all the players on that squad to go get a single player that I can't sell when I'm done with him? Maybe if I really liked that player but seems like a waste of time and coin. I guess it makes sense if you have a lot of players you want to get rid of. But I'm a long way from that.

I'm planning to get FIFA 18 and have heard a lot about "Squad Battles". What is it? And do you need PS Plus account for the same?

As someone who is on the fence about this game, I am wondering where the sticky impression thread is as well.

Re: Where Is The Impressions Thread?

My biggest issue - thus far - is that after four years, career mode barely has any changes. This is no different than EA's other games, really, so I can't say I'm too surprised, but it continues to disappoint me that they generally ignore career mode.

I understand the money issue, so why not find a way to monetize aspects of career mode? To be sure this doesn't mean I approve of greed as a mechanic, but I understand, as a business, EA is going to put money in where they are most likely to get it out.

I just want to see a sports' game that actually cares about these largely single-player modes. 2K does a fair enough job, certainly better than anything EA has put out, though I admit it is getting a tad overrun with microtransactions (VC).

Re: Where Is The Impressions Thread?

Glossy Look = OIL on the face?

Sometimes there are matches where the faces are full glossy shiney, someone could think they put a litre of oil on their face, doesn't look like sweat at all.
If it would look better than the standard lightning without glossy, but no, it looks awful. way too overdone.

Is something like that moddable?
