Info Found here: https://forums.operationsports.com/f...s-realism.html - All 30 Teams playable & done with small tweaks coming this week...

I will update this with any changes made as well... At least it saves you guys time and everyone can get used to the playbooks (Before SIM World rosters release) while having plays listed in the correct order without the hassle of entering all the plays in yourselves...
__________________________________________________ __________________________________

I will update the blog team by team as I enter them in and finish them (very time consuming). These will also be entered into the Sim world rosters. I will continue to update the lists listing all plays per play type in best to worst in a sense so this will change order wise as I go back through.

Anyways, I'd love to hear about any team specific plays for classic teams or current teams you have found that I may have missed. When you read the blog you will see my main focus is plays that can both be well executed by the User as well as the CPU. Preferably plays with multiple options with a plan A, B, etc.

Re: 2k18 Everything Playbooks

Heads up for anyone thats interested and wondering where the play types are for certain teams. Because the process is so time consuming entering teams in I have decided to just enter each teams playbooks 1st and then go back and do the play types for each player. I just want to get the hard part out of the way and get these plays entered in 1st and foremost.

By the way, I should also note that some teams do not have playbooks in the game. I am using certain playbooks like the 96, 93, 91, & 89 Bulls books will be using the 98 Bulls. The 01-02 Kings will use the 00-01 Blazers as they have very similar personnel at all positions sharing a lot of the same play types as well. The 01-02 Nets will use Seattle's book, The 97 Heat & the 99 Knicks will use the 95 Knicks playbook. I made sure when adding plays to books that were shared that they worked for both teams.

I know I can use some other books (standard, 85 76ers, pro am, etc) to get what I'm looking for to get more specific but thats down the road...

I played a lot of seasons on last gen thanks to your extensive work on playbooks. I squeezed every ounce of enjoyment out of those games! Always amazing work!!

Classic teams definitely need some love. Players are assigned play types but those types aren't in the playbook. Byron Scott for example is assigned mid range but there are no mid range plays in the the Lakers playbook. Play assignments need some work too. I've only had time to glance at a few players but I remember someone having incorrect play types assigned. Derrick Coleman or some other big man had pick & roll ball handler.

Thank you for putting this up... is nice to see people that care about X's and O's and not always dunks and highlights.

Re: 2k18 Everything Playbooks

As I have been entering playbooks in I have assigned plays in order in every play type. They can obviously be tweaked to ones liking. The only 1 that you would need to redo is all the PNR plays and enter them in order you want between all play types. Meaning you don't need to enter in all PNR plays, then PNR mid, PNF 3 Pt, PNR Option in that order. If you mix them in order 1st to last play entered your in game playbook will display this order. I put it in the blog but I like my 1st page to be clean with top PNR, Top to Side PNR, Wing PNR, Then Side PNR. If I have a good stretch 4 I will put PNPop plays on the 1st page. The 2nd page will be the same but have the double screens on it. It's just cleaner and if I'm on the side of the floor I can just hit play X and know I will be in spot already to initiate the play and not have to run to the middle of the floor to set it back up. I saw a video a few years back where Sam Pham did the same thing...

I have done the same or tried to with all the Low Post plays as I put a high/low play as the 4th play on each page of the playbook. 1st Punch 4 is basic post play, while 2nd play is most always a post pass with a Low Laker Cut Baseline, then 3rd play is usually a PNR into a post up. I would go team specific though in doing these so Steve Nash will be coming off a lot of PNR's 1st before hitting the post for some decoy action. Then the 1st High Post Play is usually always a pick N pop then a basic high post play.

So, The playbooks are pretty much in the order they should be. When entering just delete a whole play type then add them back in order. No need to empty the whole book this year...

Re: 2k18 Everything Playbooks

All Classic Teams Books are done and OP updated... I have a few tweaks and plays I will be adding and subtracting that will replace some actions, but it's a start. Hope it helps everyone's classic teams game experiences.

Remember these plays are specifically for classic teams for the most part. With the current teams you might see that I add some of the same plays I added for the classics, but I have a lot more era specific plays to add for the current teams. In todays game we see a lot more T Series action, Spain PNR, DHO's, more horns and flare actions, DBL screens, etc, that I will be adding to today's teams & game that I did not add for the classic teams as they just didn't run much of that action back then. You will see more swing action, loops, floppy's, etc...

The current teams won't need a overhaul like the classics did. I would like to hear if anyone has any team specific actions as they watch games this year. I watched a bit of the T wolves Laker game last night. I saw the Lakers run some weave, a few flex sets, and some RIP action to post while I saw the T wolves run some T series, Horns DBL screen at the top of the key, flex & again RIP for Guard post. Just watched a quarter...

Anyways, look forward to hearing what you guys find and see...
