Why does the lighting look better in created arenas?

Just look how dull and lifeless this Thunder arena looks compared to this created Duke stadium.

Truly mind boggling, if you ask me.... almost looks like two different games!

The only arenas that should have dark lighting = Staples Center, Barclays Center, and MSG....Every other arena should have the same lighting as these created arenas.

There has to be a way that 2k can correct this issue. Makes no sense how they managed to take such a huge step back this year (in this regard)

Question about the created arenas. Since the people on the stands are better lit how is the framerate? The argument is that the reason why the arenas are dark for the NBA teams is to help with the steady framerate. If it's smooth for the created arenas there is no reason for every NBA arena to be dark.

Played a full 48 minute game in one of these arenas, and the framerate didn't drop at all lol

I think 2k was definitely capable of using this vibrant lighting, for the NBA arenas. But they probably just wanted to push for an overall more cinematic look, I guess.
