Just got the account confirmation email from 2K, says account must be verified in 48 hours or account will be deleted.

Had message in-game couple of times earlier that I hadn't verified my account and Myplayer was deleted but restarting the game fixed the problem. This was first time that I received this email from 2K.

Do they really delete accounts if they're not verified?

I waited to long to activate the email so my character was deleted. But I activated the account anyway and my career file came back.
