Fan made game project?

I'm no programming expert but have been playing around with the 2D version of the GL Basic programming language and it doesn't look like it would be all that difficult to make a simple 2D NBA game if you had the artwork. Maybe an NBA Jam style game of 2 on 2 or something similar. I wonder how hard it would be to make 2D graphics or sprites of the players? Would be a fun project.

I made a cell shaded Kobe from actual game film. I think that could be a way to quickly make some cool looking graphics. Kind of like an old school 2D game but with modernish graphics. This just shows the free throw animation I made. I'm pressing the space bar to make him shoot. Ignore the court...I'm going to take it out. Its just Kobe that I worked on.

Can't view the gif.. but cell shaded games are very good.. Nintendo made made great games using credit shading and many were amazing.

If you can upload the picture again so I can maybe view it, would be nice.

So far I've made a simple free throw shooting game with Kobe. Its actually pretty fun lol.

Made a jumper for MJ. Not sure what happened when I made the gif to show it...it made some weird lines in the background.
