Graphics?

Are the graphics any different from 17? I don't see much difference in the videos.

They don't look as outstanding in the videos, as they do in the screenshots. That's for sure.

Re: Graphics?

I liked some of the screenshots, but I must be in the minority here thinking that 2K18 looks (in trailers) more cartoonish than past titles (not talking about player models, but graphics in general - lighting, textures etc...the overall look when you just look at it for the first time). Something about it just doesn't look as impressive as past titles. Maybe I got used to the 'awesomeness' since 2K14, maybe they can't enhance it that much at this point...who knows...

To me the graphics outside of trailers and screenshots never impressed me. Something about videos just don't do the game justice, but once I see it on my tv, things change. The past has shown, that mostly all games look better once you play on your one tv. Trust me, with the new xbox coming out, and 4k wether native or upscaled, it would look just fine.

Re: Graphics?

I won't lie to you:

The graphics are going to look nearly identical to 2k17 with some slight upgrades here and there. The player models will probably look slightly better and we won't have as many malnourished players running around, but if you're expecting a huge overhaul and hoping to get blown away you're probably not going to get it.

I agree YouTube videos never show me what I see on my tv when it comes to 2k, it's always a lot better in person.

The youtube compression is really nasty. You realise it when you make some videos and upload them on youtube.

Re: Graphics?

As stated , we are at the point where YouTube doesn't equal what appears on the TV especially with a 4k tv.

Also I don't expect too much of a graphical upgrade but the improved body types already help a ton. If 2k can get away from the smooth skin look and add muscle tone it will look even better
