Should NBA2K18 feature a Manual/Pro Online Mode?

Hi Lads!

I was thinking that it would be great if 2k creates a mode (from 2K18 on) for more Pro or Manual online competition, something similar to what FIFA has with its manual mode.

For instance, It would be nice having a way to force the games again your opponents to be:

- All shooting help/indicators OFF
- All defensive assists to 0
- Manual contest
- HOF Difficulty

What do you guys think? I am the only one who would like to play against other people in this conditions instead of using the cheap help that 2k provide like autocontest or shot indicator?

literally no downside to this - would be great to ensure this had its own leaderboard too

They had this in NBA2k11 . Something like this. You weren't able to touch the sliders , but you were able to play ranked matches on HOF difficulty. I miss that

Yes definitely. But I even would like to go a little bit more extreme removing shot meter (or rewarding those who don't use it) and making shot contest manual (in my book, it is too cheap that you can put it auto and go with it)...

I would love a more manual/pro NBA 2K mode for online competitive games, specially now that they seem to be pursuing the e-sports route.

I'm a manual player on Fifa since i know at least from FIFA2007, it's been 10 years, once i started playing full manual i never looked back, that's what real competition is in gaming.

Manual shooting, passing, defending etc. etc. all in my hands i loose or i win, it's me.

Defensive and Boxout Assist as well as auto contest shouldnt be usable playing online in the first place imo, only for offline games against the cpu.

I also play FIFA on manual and don't conceive to play it another way.

I definitely would like to go back to those 2k's where you had to master all players shooting just working on their form/mechanics instead of using the cheap help of a meter which, when your looking at it your losing half of the beauty of this fantastic game...
