2 Years Later and They Still Haven't Fixed This

Am I the only person seeing the ball literally like "deflate" to where it stops bouncing/loses momentum abruptly? It was like that in 16 to where u could run after balls that in real life would definitely have went out.

I like the game but I agree. Even worse is the problem of the camera not keeping up with the ball when it's thrown down court. that's unacceptable. I also noticed the cpu doesn't sub? That was a problem in the other game too.

Noticed that, but it kind of keeps the gameplay live and going, so I don't mind it. Watching a ball bounce down full court to go out of bounds can be annoying, having it deflate is awkward, but it's kind of fun having less breaks.

This sorely needs to be fixed. One of the first times I experienced this was when I rocketed an errant pass into the backcourt, which should have bounced into the front row along the baseline given the velocity the ball was thrown at. But instead, out of nowhere the ball completely dies, and doesn't even make it to the free throw line on the opposite end.

I say that it is a problem. Countless times on offense I threw a pass that was tipped by the CPU that should have resulted in an out-of-bounds stoppage, with me retaining possession of the ball. Instead, despite its velocity, the ball dies just before the end line and the CPU gets the steal. In addition to that, it gets the CPU into transition fast break points when the ball should have went out of bounds and I should have still had the ball (or at worst, had the CPU inbound the ball following my turnover).


EA, please fix for release, or post-release.

It's in here somewhere but I swear one of the devs or a game changer said that the try to keep the ball in bounds to keep the action going rather than having a bunch of stoppages and side outs but yeah it definitely needs to be tweaked along with every shot hitting the rim including full court shots

SMH if that is true. It wouldn't slow down the action -- besides, it'd just be the way the game of basketball flows.

I do like the game will punish you from time to time for making passes out of jumpshots by causing you to throw the ball out of bounds.
