Is commentary updated weekly in M18?

Has there been any news as to commentary being updated weekly like last year? And if they can drafted rookies names?

Really hasn't been much about commentary has there. I like that Brandon Gaudin and Charles Davis are back and I assume the commentary will continue to be updated through the season especially with the Play Now Live feature in Madden 18.

I would hope so. The response to them and the updates seemed to be overwhelmingly positive.

They need to focus on what is actually happening our games and cfm's, not what goes on in the real nfl. Like if I trade a player from team A to team B they need to talk about it.

I agree. It was odd hearing news about a player that didn't apply to my CFM. But it was great not hearing the same out of the box commentary over and over again

What I was hoping for was an NFL today mode that used the fresh commentary the way they do in NBA Today and did in MLB Today.

Interestingly enough, it was those Today modes in 2K games that probably ended my need for franchise play. You would think that in the NFL, with just one game a week, it would be much easier to accomplish.

All they do is leverage the franchise presentation, stuff it with commentary and data from the the league, and they got some of the best presentation in sports games ever.

I love Brandon Gaudin but Charles Davis is another example of why color commentators don't work in video game football. Although he is miles ahead of Phil Simms, most of the time his commentary is too long for a video game. Often times Gaudin doesn't get the chance to call a TD or big play because Davis is still babbling about the play before. I wish they would just switch to a one man booth with a field reporter for injuries and coach interviews etc.
