1-If you are getting the Roster from your own Console (Xbox/PS3):
You will need a Windows PC & the program, Modio (I use Modio3) to open a save file from an Xbox360 formatted flash drive with file saves; Roster should be loaded, then Extract File Contents file which is 1.36mb. And for PS3, use Bruteforce to open and decrypt the PS3 save file for accessing roster data file from a PS3 formatted flash drive. Open Spoiler for PS3 Save File instructions>>
2-You will need
NCAA Dynasty Editor to open a Roster Contents file (1.36mb size) or PS3 USR-Data file; then you can extract Excel (csv file) Spread Sheets for Players, Teams, Coaches Files. Then
using Microsoft Excel, copy data of "the common Column parameters" between NCAA 13 & 14. (Note: Ncaa 13 has 3 less teams than 14 in all 3 Files (players, teams, coaches ) and a few less Excell Column parameter features to copy.
**To open Roster file with Dynasty editor, add to the ending of file name ( .mc02). [To Open File with Dynasty Editor, For Xbox360 rosters just add .mc02 to name ending; For PS3, you must first decrypt Save file and then add .mc02 to USR-Data name ending, & finally open Userdata with Dynasty editor. ]
Using NCAA Dynasty Editor,
For Each NCAA 13 and NCAA 14 Roster files:
(Search for these rosters as an "offline file" from a recent Roster forum 2023, 2022, 2021, etc seasons.
Vikesfan2023-24
Vikesfan2022-23
Vikesfan2021-22
Vikesfan2020-21
Vikesfan2019-20
Vikesfan2018-19
Vikesfan2017-18
Xbox2017-18project
You will also need to have an NCAA 13 save file to paste/make all new save data to. You can either make it on your xbox360, or take an older offline file and overlap new data on top of it; However the total # of players have to be a matching number for edits to be made; The number of players in Bob's conversions have been 8455, so only this many players can be copied from NCAA 14, so the Game's final team players (UTSA) are not usually copied properly. This is the drawback of conversions if you are a fan of team UTSA.
3a- For the NCAA 14 roster you are planning to work with & port:
In Ncaa Dynasty editor,
You have to Export the Players data by using the Players TAB.(Go to File>Export Current Table to Excel csv file.) Also do this for Teams Tab. Also Export csv files for the "Base NCAA 13 files from Brock or Bob" for Players and Teams data so you can use them to paste/overlap and make them your new Players & Team csv files . Finally after editing/copying data, you have to use Dynasty editor & "IMPORT" csv files back into Roster file.
--------So to get started (you must work carefully and slowly)-------
Copy all the correct columns of data - I figured out exactly which columns to copy from NCAA 14 csv data files and paste them into NCAA 13 csv files. But it is important to not break EXCEL file structure; It's format should not be changed during the paste process.
Compare Excel files of NCAA 14 to NCAA 13 and just copy the columns that are the same. Note reason: 2014 game has 3 more teams & more features than 2013. So this will take a little patience not to add wrong data into the wrong columns in the NCAA 13 csv file.
3b.PRECISE STEPS to port "Players data csv": (with NCAA Dynasty Editor), (Valid for Xbox360 roster & PS3 )-NOTE:
It is easiest to only port the Player Data without errors. But Porting all of the features of Teams and Coaches csv data may result in damaged roster errors or in game freezes. You may be able to port only some of the features of those files.eg. in Coaches data, just names of coaches,ages & in Teams file, just Team rankings, impact players, team captains and a few more columns.
-From NCAA 14 csv For each set of columns you copy, copy ROWS 1-8456 (the number of players recognized on 13 game may be 8455)
-COLUMNS TO COPY: PLAYERS FILE
i. Copy COLUMN A -to- AI from NCAA 14
and paste to COLUMN A-AI on NCAA 13 file
<SKIP copying Column AJ on NCAA 14 file>
ii.Copy COLUMN AK -to- CF from NCAA 14
and paste to NCAA 13 COLUMN AJ -to-CE on NCAA 13 file
<SKIP> Column CG on NCAA 14 file>
iii. Copy COLUMN CH -to- Final COLUMN EC on NCAA 14
and paste to COLUMN CF to EA on NCAA 13 file
END.
iv. SAVE PLAYER DATA CSV WORK. (Check over data to see if it looks right without any file structure wrong)
v. On Dynasty Editor, Import Current Table (your new PLAYER DATA) back into roster.
vi. Then use Modio to replace roster file back into your new roster save file ready to be used in XBOX 360.
(If you want Team Rankings updated, then do next step.)
--------------
4a-You can also Port TEAMS data (And edit Team rankings using the TEAM TAB (export data to Excel csv file - edit TCRK & TMRK -copy column BA & BB on NCAA 14 Team Excel_csv file and paste to AY & AZ on NCAA 13 Team Excel_csv file; note: If you are updating rankings week to week you only need to edit the top 25 or so teams since only those are visible on game)
-------------------------------------------------------------------
*If you decide to copy ALL Teams and Coaches data then continue with steps below.
4b. PRECISE STEPS to port "Teams data csv": (with NCAA Dynasty Editor),
Note:
Not completely sure, but Porting Every Column data of Teams and Coaches csv data may result in damaged roster errors or in game freezes. You may only be able to port some of the Column features of those files eg. Rankings & Offense, Defense Team captains. So you may not want to copy "every column" of the Teams Data in instructions below (So YMMV as far as what data causes errors and freezes in game or in Dynasty.):
Update 9-10-2018: I recently found in Teams File there would be dynasty load up issues if you do not follow these instructions: CONFERENCE/Division Alignment needs to be unchanged and kept as default old NCAA 13 alignment.eg. Big10, C-USA, MWC have a few team differences between NCAA 14 & 13 game. Also some schools short name are labeled differently Army vs Army West Point, or Mich St. vs MSU.
***So I used Bob's old NCAA 2016 or 2017 season files as reference to Copy the Conference, and Division data exactly the same--COLUMN AD (CGID) & AE (DGID;
***Also found another requirement: Do not port second impact player from NCAA 14; So copy exact data from Bob's file COLUMN C(TSI2).--all values were 65535.
-From NCAA 14 csv For each set of columns you copy, copy ROWS of all Teams data that are same. So Copy Rows 2-129 (and skip 130 -132 and final HS teams). Basically, do not copy final 3 teams & the High school teams. A little tricky to copy and paste,but do it slowly.
In Excell I found F5 key allows a method to batch copy long lists of players easier.
eg. open in
Excell, CSV document and,
Press F5. Type A2:AI8456 copy it from ncaa14 and paste into ncaa13.
(note: for NCAA 14,on Excel csv data files, you need to make sure there is not a first row with Play and PGID in A and B columns, otherwise delete this row.. Then do the copy and paste of correct rows and columns of players, so numbers match up the same between 14 and 13 csv files. This extra row is only present if you created NCAA14 csv files with EA db editor instead of NCAA Dynasty editor.)
Do this 2 more times for remaining conversion, "carefully".
Copy From
AK2 -to- CF8456 from NCAA 14
& Paste to
AJ2 to CE8456, in Ncaa13
Finally, Copy From
CH2 -to- Final COLUMN EC8456 on NCAA 14
& Paste to
CF2 to EA8456, in Ncaa13
(You don't need to use batch copy method for Teams and Coaches since lists are shorter)
-COLUMNS TO COPY: TEAMS FILE
i. Copy Columns A to J from NCAA 14
and paste to COLUMN A-J on NCAA 13 file
<SKIP Column K on NCAA 14 file>
ii. Copy Columns L(TLSA) to COLUMN Y(TMCC) from NCAA 14,
and paste to COLUMN K to X(TMCC) on NCAA 13 file
<SKIP Column Z on ncaa 14>
iii.Copy Columns AA to BO (TCAM) from NCAA 14,
and paste to Columns Y to BM (TCAM) on NCAA 13 file.
iv. Leave Column BN (TPTM) on NCAA 13 file alone-(note- this is not on NCAA 14)
v. Copy Columns BP (DISN) to CB (TMCP) from NCAA 14,
and paste to Columns BO -to- CA (TMCP) on NCAA 13 file.
<SKIP CC (TRCP) on NCAA 14>
vi. Copy CD to DN (TRST) from NCAA 14,
and paste to Columns CB to DL (TRST)
vii. Leave Column DM (TWTT) on NCAA 13 file alone-(note- this is not on NCAA 14)
viii. Copy Columns DO (PSAV) to Final Column EP (Tass),
and paste to Columns DN to EO (Tass).
End.
----------------------------------------------------------------
5. PRECISE STEPS to port "Coaches data csv": (with Dynasty Editor)-(9/15/23 I recently am just converting names and ages, and leaving the rest alone since Coaches face, hair and likeness were causing dynasty and game freeze issues)
*** -From NCAA 14 csv For each set of columns you copy, copy ROWS of all Teams data that are same.
So Copy Rows 2-385 (UTSA DC) (Dont Copy 3 Teams near end: GSU, ODU, and USA).
Copy Final ROWS 395 to 404 (SJSU Coach to Tul Coach)
and Paste in NCAA 13 file to rows 386 to 395.
ALSO USEFUL KEY definitions were made here: >>
https://forums.operationsports.com/f...a-14-a-29.html
COLUMNS TO COPY: COACHES FILE
<SKIP COLUMN A on NCAA 14 FILE--there is no CNNA>
i. Copy Columns B & C (CFFA and CLNA)
and paste to Colun A & B on NCAA 13 FILE
<SKIP COLUMN D on NCAA 14 --no CYRA>
ii.Copy Columns E-to-H (CDTA to CSPC)
and paste to Column C-to-F
<Skip Column I --no CARC>
iii. Copy Columns J-to-L (CFRC to CCTC)
and paste to Columns G-to-I
<Skip Column M --no CNTC>
iv. Copy Columns N-to-AR (CFUC to COTL) --(LONGEST # of COLUMNs ....YAY
and paste to Columns J-to-AN
<Skip Columns AS & AT (no CTTL & CRVL)>
NOTE: at the very end Overlap COLUMN L & M with an older NCAA 13 file data.
use Bob's old NCAA 2016 or 2017 season COACHES file as reference to Copy the Conference, and Division data exactly the same--COLUMN L (CGID) & M (DGID; This was the same problem to be fixed on TEAMS DATA file.
v. Copy Columns AU-to-BO (CDEM to TNHS) --(next Longest # of Columns...YAY
and paste to Columns AO-to-BI (TNHS)
<Skip Column BP--no CCLS>
vi. Copy Columns BQ-to-BS (CLPS to CEQS)
and paste to Columns BJ-to-BL
<SKip Columns BT --no RCTS>
vii. Copy Columns BU-to-CO (CDTS to PHPV) --(3rd Longest # of Columns...YAY
and paste Columns BM-to-CG
<Skip Columns CP --no CNAW>
viii. Copy Columns CQ-to-CS (CBLW to PCTW)
and paste to COlumns CH-to-CJ
<Skip Column CT --no CHTW>
ix. Copy single Column CU (CNTW)--------maybe skip this step since all Zeros 0s
and paste to Column CK
<Skip Columns CV and CW --no CTTW and CRVW
x. Copy Columns CX-to end (CCBX to CTgw) --(4th longest # of Columns...YAY
and paste to Columns CL-to-CR
THE END!!
Note:
-You could port
Depth Chart csv file, --but you can also decide to skip this step since Dynasty Editor does not transfer depth chart data properly.(I usually skip this file). Players are always in wrong position. You must adjust "in Game" manually, all teams depth charts for each team, 20+ Positions. Unfortunately, It will take a very long time on your part to go thru all teams and fix them. It will be worth it after you do it one time, so You can use the same file all year (in the editor) to overlap New Player Roster data on top of it through out the season.
-Note that porting
Coaches and Teams data (some column feature data) in the past, was known to result in game/dynasty freezes (eg.Coaches file can cause loading issues; so it's safer to
just copy and paste the coaches names & ages and maybe only a few other features at your own risk.
It was recently found to edit Coaches likeness features in Game for all teams giving problems, and then freeze issues in teams may go away.
TABLE OF COACH CODE KEYS>>https://forums.operationsports.com/f...&postcount=225
;
So some of the feature tabs in the coaches CSV file were known to cause problems like freezes on teams, after copied from NCAA 14 to 13.)
**If you get a damaged roster error then you may have done something wrong and have to restart the editors all over & try importing again. Or maybe retrace/redo all your steps. So plenty of patience is needed doing the ports. But recently it was found to edit Coaches Likeness "in Game" first and then this fixes freeze issues.
