All American Diamond Classic Recruiting

AADC strives to be one of THE best leagues for MLB the Show. The goal is to have an Organized, Competitive and Fun league. AADC is for users seeking a community; not just a "league."

30 teams, 58 game season, Hall of Fame settings, Balks on, GroupMe required.

Activity can help determine if a team makes playoffs as well as record.

Respectable Sim style rules. However, SIM is always in the eye of the beholder; with 30 different styles of play please expect different approaches.

Base sliders because "Custom Sliders" aren't as "realistic" and always have to be tweaked with update changes.

Custom Wild Card system for added competitiveness.

$$ awards- each season.

AADC goes live each year from the release of Opening Day rosters.

ALL AMERICAN DIAMOND CLASSIC

A. Team Management
B. Hitting/Base Running
C. Pitching
D. Free Agency
E. Trades
F. Playoffs
G. Off-season
H. Administrative

A. Team Management
  1. Players may only play in their primary and secondary positions.

  2. Teams are always required to have 2 Catchers on their 25-man roster.

  3. Players on the MLB roster cannot be dropped down to Minor Leagues to be signed to a contract.

  4. DO NOT: Relocate and/or Change Mascot. Secondary logos are ok with Admin approval.
B. Hitting/Base Running
  1. No consecutive bunting or bunting excessively.

  2. DO NOT turn back on a STEAL attempt. This includes a Pitch Out- accept the out.

  3. Batters may be subbed out at any time.

  4. Squeeze play is legal; defense needs to go into bunt defense.

  5. 1st Inning, leadoff man cannot bunt to get on base.

C. Pitching
  1. 5 Man starting rotation. SP “rotation” does not have to follow order, but should be balanced. Pitchers are free to be called up or sent down as User determines.

  2. Bullpen may have 2 extra SP as Relievers.

  3. Starting pitchers cannot pitch passed the 9th inning or over 110 pitches. Relief Pitchers: Long Reliever: 7 innings max Middle Relief: 4 innings max Set Up/Closer: 2 innings or less.

  4. A Pitcher cannot be subbed in the middle a count except for injury/ejection.

  5. Pitching should be realistic. Every throw not expected to be down the middle, but do not throw garbage entire game.

  6. A relief pitcher must face at least ONE batter if subbed into a game.

D. Free Agency (First Season / Mid Season)
  1. First initial season Free Agency will be given a draft order by each team in order of record previous year. Teams will be allowed to select 1 FA at this time. FA will be open at will after this draft for the remainder of the league.

  2. Free agency "draft" will be on a 12 hour selection for each team. Teams will be grouped in threes to draft. Any team that does not pick, forfeits until FA is wide open.

  3. Signed FA cannot be traded until end of season. FA or any other player may be released at any time; team owner discretion.

E. Trades
  1. Trades are not allowed until 12 games have been played. First season only.

  2. Maximum 2 trades per season and 1 trade during off-season. 4 player trades count as 2 trades. Maximum 4 players traded per season.

  3. Trades must be within 3 points OVR.

  4. A player may not be traded twice in one season.

  5. Trading deadline: Teams must complete all trades before 35 games in a season. Once 15 teams hit 35 games, all trades will be turned off.

F. Playoffs
  1. Wild Card 24 hours to play. Division and League Championship Series: 48 hours. World Series 72 hours. Formalities; may be adjusted or changed.

  2. 40 games for playoff eligibility. Record and activity included.

  3. Playoffs will consist of 10 teams. Admin will reset 2 games at the end of season for the 7th-10th “seeds.” These reset games will serve as the Wild Card. Upon completion the 8 teams will advance to playoffs.

  4. All playoff games to be played in October.

G. Off-Season
  1. Resign period will follow immediately after World Series and consist of 24 hours. GroupMe chat will constantly be reminded of Resign Period.

  2. Drafts will be no sooner than 24 hours after resign but may be over 24 hours. All drafts will be 830pm est on a WEEKDAY.

  3. OFF Season Free Agency will start end of draft completion and follow schedule: Stage 1: 12 hours from Completion of draft. Stage 2: End of Stage 1 until 830pm est of same day. At 830pm; Stages 3/4/5: 10 minute increments and new Season will start around 9pm est.

  4. Teams are to follow this rubric for players concerning contracts:

    • AGE-------------------CONTRACT YEARS
    • 18-24--------------------1-7 years
    • 25-29--------------------1-6 years
    • 30-34--------------------1-4 years
    • 35-37--------------------1-2 years
    • 38U----------------------1 year

  5. Teams are to follow this rubric for players concerning money:

    • OVERALL--------------MAX MONEY PER YEAR
    • 99-95----------------------$30 Mil/Yr
    • 94-90----------------------$25 Mil/Yr
    • 89-85----------------------$20 Mil/Yr
    • 84-80----------------------$19 Mil/Yr
    • 79 and below--------------$15 Mil/Yr

  6. Teams in violation of these rubrics (over the amounts allowed) are required to cut the player into FA.

H. Administrative Rules
  1. Games not finished by deadline will be resolved. Teams more active will be considered for playoffs; losses result in 2 administration points. For example a team that is 35-5 will be passed over for a team that is 30-20. The 30-20 user was more active.

  2. Disconnects to be resolved amongst users if possible; innings 4-6. Inning 1st-3rd automatic restart unless proof leading by 3+ runs. Beyond 7th inning, down 4+ runs is ballgame.

  3. Communication is critical. GroupMe is mandatory. Respect users’ time. Respect other users. Profanity, racial slurs, or attacks used to demean or insult a user is not tolerated. Trash talk is acceptable.

  4. Glitches WILL OCCUR. In the event of a TRUE GLITCH, do not exploit it or take advantage. Users should resolve glitch situations. If a run was scored, give up a score. Do remember it is a video game.

  5. Each home team's "Opening Day" game is to be played in April. Month selection between 2nd and final game is optional. Weather optional at all times.
