Is there a problem with Start Today mode?

So I went to go dabble in a Phoenix Suns MyLeague and wanted to use the Start Today mode as I usually do. As I went along, however, I noticed that every single player in the league had their contracts pushed forward a year and were signed through 2017-2018, and that there weren't any upcoming free agents. Is this a glitch? Is the 2k system bugged for the day or something? Has this happened to anyone before? I'd appreciate any help

This happened before when the playoffs first started.

It may fix itself after one of the finals games is recorded.

contracts will also be messed up once you get out of the finals...For example Hayward, Paul, Milsap are not free agents.

On PC I can't even play the NBA Finals with Start Today mode, it's ridiculous. During the past rounds at least if you went to daily view and checked the game, then you could play it. No such luck with the Finals, you HAVE to sim it even if you control one of the teams.

Okay so that didn't do it. What the hell 2k? Are they even aware of this?

This really is unacceptable. Not that it isn't working, but that there appears to be no word from 2k on a fix.
