RTTS Pitches?

So, last year my pitcher had a 4-Seam, Sinker, 12-6 Curveball, Slider, and Circle Changeup...

This year my starter has a the first three again: 4-Seam, Sinker, and 12-6 Curveball... but I am debating on taking other pitches this year. Maybe take the Knuckleball or regular Changeup...

I also am debating on staying at 4 pitches, as I know it will be easier to keep his confidence up with them. My pitcher last year had wicked heat (100mph fast ball, 93-95mph Sinker, etc), and I want similar for this guy... what would go best with that kind of heat? The Slider if like last year would be 90-91mph, the 12-6 would be 83-84 for him...

I just know I want an off-speed pitch that will be hard to hit when paired up with the 4-Seam and Sinker. I know the 12-6 is hard to hit as it gets a lot of my strike outs, even with a 52 ovr pitcher in Double A, lol.

Re: RTTS Pitches?

I'm personally a big fan of the cutter and slurve in game. I think a slurve would suit your guy nicely.

Whatever you do don't go with the vulchan change. You can't remove it

Well, it's not like you can undo a mind-meld.

Re: RTTS Pitches?

I made a L SP with a knuckleball, a sinker, Cir Chg and added a 4fb. I wanted to be a specialist type player.

Re: RTTS Pitches?

I decided I wanted a bunch of pitches that looked the same until the last minute. So my combo is:
2-seam, Cutter, Splitter, 12-6 Curve, Slurve.

The 2-seam and cutter are fastballs that are indistinguishable until it's too late, the splitter looks identical but is slower and drops, and the 12-6 curve and slurve are offspeed and very tough to tell apart. And the slurve and the cutter are sneaky similar looking.

So I have 3 tiers of velocity, and all of the pitches have at least one other pitch that looks identical but breaks very differently at the end.

Re: RTTS Pitches?

I ended up adding the Screwball and so far it's working wonders alongside the other three.

Thanks for the replies, guys.
